Decoration Specialist

Full-Time,Part-Time

Description

Position Summary:

Is responsible for receiving orders, locating and pulling product items in the warehouse and fulfilling orders accurately and to customers’ specifications. Replenishes fulfillment supplies daily and assists with data entry and will make adjustments in the inventory system (Select Patch).

Requirements

  • Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • -Receives in product from customer and vendors for fulfillment and keeps records of receipts for tracking purposes. Processes completed product for shipping using FED EX, UPS or any form of shipment customer requires.
  • -Sorts picklist by date and product and collects product for fulfillment using pick list as a guide.
  • -Will decorate garments, hats, blank products using heat press, sewing machine and any form of application needed to complete customer request and will bill fulfillment orders once shipped.
  • -Using a production sheet, keeps a tally of total pieces produced each day.
  • -Replenishes fulfillment supplies daily and as often as needed in the work area. Communicates with Production Manager to ensure all raw materials are at proper levels in the fulfillment work area.
  • -Responsible for printing out labels for heat application orders, will remove stitching on garments and will cross-train to print on silkscreen garments.
  • -Will daily inspect and weekly conduct preventative maintenance on all Decoration department machines/equipment (or as needed).
  • -Personifies the attitude (externally and internally) “the customer ALWAYS comes first” when conducting daily interactions with customers, on the phone/e-mail and in-person, at the highest level of integrity and service.
  • -Keeps management appraised on all critical operations related matters on a timely basis so issues can be addressed in an expeditious manner.
  • -Participates in continuous improvement processes to make department more efficient and will makes recommendations to improve production flow and quality of products.
  • -Performs duties in compliance with Federal, state and local laws and regulations and adheres to all Penn Emblem policies and safety procedures.
  • -Performs other duties as required by business needs and as assigned by Department Manager and Plant Manager.
  • Primary Outcomes
  • -Customer orders are filled accurately and in conformance with their requirements.
  • -Quality and safety standards are in place and being met or exceeded.
  • -Best practices in daily operations are implemented, practiced & regularly reviewed.

Qualifications

  • Position Requirements:
  • Education:
  • -High School diploma.
  • Experience:
  • -At least 1 year’ experience in a manufacturing or inventory position.
  • Company Related:
  • -Worked in manufacturing in the personal identification or related
  • Knowledge:
  • -manufacturing area.
  • Technical Training:
  • -Familiar with ERP or MRP systems & their utilization in operations.
  • Or Certifications:
  • Functional:
  • -Prefer knowledge of art placement, stitch counts, thread colors,
  • Knowledge:
  • -fabric and processes. Experience with safety issues in operations.
  • Skills-Knowledge-Abilities:
  • -Self-driven, self-motivated, results-oriented, positive attitude and confident.
  • -Insures that products are always of the highest quality.
  • -Shows initiative and has ability to manage concurrent assignments in an effective, efficient and organized manner. Flexible and possesses the ability to adapt to a changing environment and a flexible schedule.
